Our St. Charles Administration Ministries help with coordination and planning of the many aspects of parish financial and budget matters, stewardship of resources, church and parishioner communications, and the upkeep of the physical facilities and properties of the St. Charles parish.

  • Communication Committee Meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month quarterly.  The Communication Committee was formed to improve and continually update all forms of communication.  The Parish Communications Coordinator will be assisted by the Communication Committee to provide all parishioners with the happenings within the Parish.  They are responsible for the Parish website, bulletin, Chimes, signage, Facebook, press releases and community outreach.   • Volunteer Office Workers provide support to the Parish Office Staff as requested. Quarterly they are asked to stuff envelopes with folded prepared papers to be mailed to parishioners. Others might occasionally be asked to cover the office when paid staff is out of the office, confidentially is paramount. Someone to do once a week cleaning, vacuuming and dusting the offices is needed. The cleaning can be done on any day of the week, takes about 2 hours and needs to be done at 4:30 PM.   • Newman Hanley House Board of Directors meet quarterly to make recommendations regarding the running of this house which provides housing for a maximum of 11 college students. The students attend college at local schools, UNOH, OSU or Rhodes. They pay a monthly rent of $350. – $425. The meetings are held at the church at 4 PM and last about 1 hour. Board members should have knowledge of college-age people and have strong religious convictions. They may be asked to help with fundraising. They can serve a maximum of 2 – 3-year terms and are appointed by the pastor. There are currently 8 Board members. The contact person is Jeff Carder 419-228-7635.
  • Finance Council meets monthly to advise the Pastor on the administration of parish goods. The council is a select group of parishioners known for their spiritual maturity and love of Christ and the Church, endowed with special competence in financial matters and of prudent judgement, who offer their time and talents in Christian service to assist the Pastor with the development and management of the parish’s financial resources so that the parish may effectively pursue its mission of spreading Christ’s Gospel and love. Key areas of responsibility include: budgets, financial records and reporting, strategic planning, internal controls, and general business administration. Members serve a 3-year term and are appointed by the Pastor. There are currently seven council members. The contact person is Father Kent 419-228-7635.
  • School Finance Committee is a subcommittee to the school advisory council. They meet monthly from Sept. thru May to monitor the school finances, have input into the budget preparation and assure the school stays within the budget. They meet at the school for 1 hour beginning at 7:45 AM. Ideally, each member would have a child or grandchild enrolled at St. Charles School and has minimal knowledge of finances. Prospective members are voted on by the School Advisory Committee and are appointed by the pastor.
  • Landscaping Committee exists to provide landscaping for the St. Charles campus in a way that maintains an attractive environment. This committee is organized by a chairperson. Most of the work is done from April thru October. Volunteers can work as little as 1 hour a month to as much as they are able and have a desire to help. The work consists of planting, weeding, fertilizing, watering, mulching. The chairperson helps plan for plants and organizes volunteers for the work that needs to be done in any given week.
  • Maintenance Committee exists to ensure our buildings and equipment are evaluated for any needed repairs or preventative maintenance and make recommendations to the pastor. They meet as needed but a minimum 4 times a year. The committee plans and organizes the volunteer maintenance day held each May. Committee members could have a background in construction, carpentry, HVAC, mechanical engineering and procurement of goods and services. The contact person is Ken Koester 419-228-7635.
  • Volunteer Maintenance Committee is a subcommittee of the Maintenance Committee and works the Saturday in May as determined by the Maintenance Committee. Committee volunteers can work as little or as much as they are able but usually less than 6 hours. Some experience in landscaping or maintenance is helpful.
  • Sunday Offertory Counters count the collections from each weekend on Monday mornings at 8 AM. Counters work the week they are scheduled and are usually finished in 1.5 hours. They are appointed by the pastor. The contact person is Jeff Carder 419-228-7635.
  • Endowment Trustees manage and advise on the investment of the Endowment funds which exist for the further enhancement of St. Charles Parish and School. Trustees serve for a 5-year term and are appointed by the pastor. They meet quarterly at noon at the parish office for approximately 1.5 hours. There are 8 members who also plan marketing events to raise funds for growth of the endowment.
