Director of Christian Corner Community Center (CCCC)

St. Charles Parish is seeking a Director of the Christian Corner Community Center, a mission-driven leader who serves as a minister of faith and steward of our outreach to those in need. This position plays a vital role in living out our parish mission:

The Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Christian Corner Community Center, ensuring a safe, organized, welcoming, and faith-centered environment for clients, volunteers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Community Center
- Supervise church-paid staff, government-paid workers, volunteers, and service-hour personnel
- Coordinate volunteer placement, scheduling, and documentation
- Oversee food pick-ups, kitchen operations, cooking stations, donations, and food distribution
- Maintain effective communication through email, mail, and internal reporting
- Ensure alignment of all activities with parish mission and values
Environment, Safety & Security
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all
- Ensure infection control and appropriate behavior standards are followed
- Confirm background checks for volunteers and staff
- Coordinate building maintenance and security in collaboration with parish administration
- Report incidents or concerns through proper parish channels
Financial Stewardship & Development
- Coordinate fundraising efforts and donor development activities
- Assist with grant research, preparation, and submissions
- Oversee donor database management and acknowledgement processes
- Monitor staff-related expenses and submit documentation as required
- Work collaboratively with St. Charles Parish on all fundraising initiatives
Community Relations & Outreach
- Serve as the public representative of Christian Corner during distribution hours and community events
- Build partnerships with local organizations serving those in need
- Participate as a Staff Resource Member of the St. Charles Parish Outreach Commission
- Attend monthly Outreach Commission meetings
Qualifications
- Passion for serving individuals and families experiencing poverty
- Ability to support and uphold the teachings and mission of the Roman Catholic Church
- Valid driver’s license
- Safe Serve certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Successful completion of diocesan background checks and child/vulnerable adult protection requirements
