Director of Christian Corner Community Center (CCCC)

The Director of the Christian Corner Community Center (CCCC) is a minister of faith who works in accordance with the mission and core values of St. Charles Parish while overseeing the full-time operations of a community outreach center serving the Lima community. The Director provides leadership and administration for programs offering daily meals, weekly food pantry services, clothing assistance, and compassionate support to individuals and families experiencing hardship.
The Director is responsible for the supervision and coordination of staff, volunteers, and daily operations to ensure a safe, welcoming, and mission-driven environment rooted in Christian service. The position also leads fundraising efforts, donor relations, grant writing, and community partnerships necessary to sustain and expand programs serving those in need.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Understand and manage the day-to-day operations of the Christian Corner Community Center.
- Provide leadership to ensure alignment of staff and volunteers with the organization’s mission, vision, and values: “Believing with Faith. Welcoming with Love. Serving with Christ.”
- Supervise employees, government-funded staff, and service-hour personnel, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Ensure all volunteers are Virtus trained, appropriately placed, and that all service stations are properly staffed.
- Coordinate food pick-ups (Director serves as designated pick-up contact as needed).
- Oversee meal preparation, cooking stations, food distribution, food donations, and kitchen organization to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain consistent communication flow via email, mail, and internal coordination systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor or Director of Operations.
Environment, Safety & Security
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all volunteers, staff, and clients, including adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Ensure volunteers complete required background checks through Selection.com and maintain compliance with Virtus and diocesan Safe Environment policies.
- Report any incidents involving violence, threats, or law enforcement activity to the Business Manager immediately.
- Coordinate building maintenance and security of all facility assets, ensuring proper documentation of issues through the Business Manager
Financial Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all fundraising efforts for the Center, including donor cultivation, stewardship, and parish-approved fundraising initiatives.
- Research, prepare, and submit grant applications to foundations, corporations, and other funding sources, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
- Oversee major donor mailings, acknowledgements, and fundraising communications in coordination with parish administration.
- Maintain and manage the donor database and ensure timely acknowledgment of contributions.
- Monitor and document expenses incurred by staff, submitting receipts and records to the Director of Operations.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure responsible stewardship and long-term sustainability of funding for all programs.
Public Relations
- Food distribution hours and community activities, ensuring a welcoming, respectful, and faith-centered presence.
- Promote awareness of the Center’s mission and services within the Lima community, including meal programs, food pantry services, and clothing assistance.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with local social service agencies, churches, and community organizations serving individuals in need.
- Work closely with partner organizations (including NWOFB, Our Daily Bread, St. Vincent DePaul, and others) as part of a coordinated outreach network aligned with the parish Outreach Commission.
- Participate in community meetings, outreach events, and collaborative service efforts as assigned by parish leadership.
- Communicate operational updates and service needs to parish leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Safe Serve certified within 90 days of hire.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong commitment to the mission and values of Christian Corner Community Center, with empathy and compassion for individuals experiencing poverty.
- Regular attendance is essential for this position.
- Ability to respect, promote, and operate in accordance with the mission, moral teachings, doctrines, and laws of the Roman Catholic Church.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, vendors, employees, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Center is open Mon Wed & Fri 9:00am-1:00pm
Wednesday Food Pantry opens at 8am
