Family Promise is a faith-based agency working with various community partners dedicated to helping homeless families achieve and sustain independence by providing help, hope and safe haven as they seek suitable employment and housing. Four times a year, St. Charles provides a week of overnight lodging, meals and hospitality. Volunteers are needed to provide reminder calls to volunteers, to set up rooms prior to the arrival of families and later clean up, as greeters on Sunday afternoon to meet the families, as callers to solicit and transport groceries, cooking and serving meals, assistance with laundry, entertaining children and staying overnight with the families.
