Once again, the Christian Corner Community Center will be placing ornaments on the Christmas Tree behind the presider’s chair in the Church. The silver and gold ornaments will have the name of a child who will be attending our holiday lunch on December 20 at the Center with a parent, Grandparent, or other family member. This is a reduction of the children’s gifting program at the Center, to avoid duplication of services provided by the Salvation Army. Please plan to have your wrapped children’s gift placed under the tree by Thursday, December 19, latest (Sunday, 12/15 would be ideal!). The ornament should be securely attached.
Also, you will note red, green and blue ornaments which will have listed on them a needed staple item for the Center. For example, coffee, canned fruits and vegetables, paper goods and the like. Your gift will help us keep our operating expenses as low as possible. Please know that, with the higher cost of groceries, your gift is very much appreciated! These items do not need to be wrapped, simply self-contained in a box or bag. We will pick all these items up on December 23.
Finally, the red, green and blue ornaments will have a listing of some personal hygiene items most often requested by the adults who come to the Center. Again, wrapping is not necessary as above.
