  • Letter to Father — due March 12, 2021

  • Max. file size: 100 MB.
Students will write a letter to Fr. Kent explaining their intention to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. This will be a formal way for the students to request to be Confirmed. The letter will be due by March 13. The letter should be no longer than a page. Each letter should begin with stating that you desire the sacrament of Confirmation and the purpose/significance of the Sacrament. You should introduce yourself to Fr. Kent: share your interests, extra curricular activities, or something about your family. This is a time to help Fr. Kent get to know you better. Take some time to explain that you are open to receiving the gifts of the Holy Spirit and what you have been doing to prepare (favorite class discussions/class projects/your favorite work of mercy you participated in/etc.). You may want to mention the saint that you chose for your confirmation name and explain why you chose that particular saint. It will also be good to talk about being prepared to live out the fruits of the Holy Spirit and how you will live those out, in the context of our parish community, your family, and the greater community. Make sure to explain how you will continue to be involved in your faith after Confirmation. Close your letter with an appropriate salutation (Sincerely, In Christ, or something similar). Finally, make sure to sign your letter. Be sure to hit the Submit button at the bottom of the page when you have finished uploading your document.
